  The 2nd Law of Thermodynamics, as far as we understand it, states that the universe tends toward an increase of entropy and chaos. We are not scientists and tend to find the scientific method a little too simplistic for our everyday purposes. Regardless, we are told that this 2nd Law of Thermodynamics and its accomplice, the 1st Law, are two of the most indisputable behaviors of the universe that our species has been able to abstract with our language and math. |
  The 2nd Law goes on to imply that any and all attempts at ordering the universe or making it more predictable (the opposite of entropy and chaos), will only add to the entropy. Our civilization is the prime example of this phenomenon (see image above). This civilization has been, if nothing else, an attempt to create order from the wild unpredictability of nature. Civilization is supposed to act as our barrier from the chaos of the wild. Upon closer inspection though, the civilized man is only digging
