The World Trade Center was the CEO of CEO's. The most colossal and impersonal buildings in the largest city of the most capitalist nation. The known 5000 or so years of human settlements has failed to produce a structure more obscenely stack-like than the WTC. For an extremist opposing the global diffusion of capitalism nothing could be more symbolically blasphemous than a supposed 'world trade center.' A surprise

Al-Queda was naïve to the permutations of extremism. The all-too-perfect act of destroying the WTC (turning a stack into a pile) only aided capitalism in the long run.
